Some snacks for your next camping trip

A lot of people enjoy camping.

And if you’re with other adults, a good drink is a must.

You need a great snack to go with your drinks, so here are some ideas for snacks to try on your next camping trip.

If you’re drinking beer

There’s nothing like an ice-cold can of beer on a summer camping trip.

Before you crack open a cold one, throw some corn on the barbecue to go with it. Once it’s nice and brown, slather it in your favorite barbecue sauce for a great savory flavor that goes perfectly with a good beer.

If you’re drinking whiskey

When you’re camping in fall, a good whiskey by a campfire just makes your trip. It’s intoxicating in more ways than one.

And grilled apples make the perfect snack.
Core the apples, fill the hole with butter, sugar and cinnamon and wrap the apples in aluminum foil. These take 2-3 hours to cook, so put them on the barbecue early and enjoy the delicious smell.

Smoking food is also popular, so if you have an easy smoker, try smoking some nuts. When you finish them, toss some more in!

If you’re drinking sake

Sake is delicious at room temperature or warmed, making it great for every season! In fact, it’s apparently the most popular alcoholic drink among Japanese campers!

The best snack with sake is crispy bacon and Camembert.
Wrap some Camembert cheese in bacon, toss it on the barbecue and you’re done! The aromatic bacon and melty cheese complement each other perfectly.

If you’re looking for something even easier, roast some spicy cod roe (mentaiko)—you can’t go wrong with that.

If you’re drinking wine

Wine is another versatile drink. Depending on the type and the season, it can be enjoyed at room temperature, chilled or hot. Screw-cap bottles are the best for camping trips—no one wants the hassle of prying out a cork because they’ve forgotten their corkscrew.

Try grilled avocado as a snack.
アボカドを半分にカットして種をとり、とろけるチーズをかけたら網に皮のまま乗せて焼くだけ。クリーミーではまります。

All you need to do is cut the avocados in half, remove the stone, sprinkle a cheese that melts well on top and pop it on the barbecue skin side down.

The creamy taste will leave you wanting more. There are all kinds of products that make it easy to enjoy drinks in the great outdoors, from highly transparent plastic glasses to wine glasses with a spike on the bottom to hold them steady on the ground. Check them out!
